Most undergrads drink their fair share of beer in college, but now through San Diego State University College of Extended Studies, you can receive a Professional Certificate in the Business of Craft Beer Program. Makers Quarter, who recently hosted the preview party for the San Diego Film Festival, is inviting everyone to Beer + Bites tomorrow to SILO from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate the program and also to benefit the San Diego Brewers Guild.
Guests of the event will get to sample craft beer from local breweries including Monkey Paw, Culture, AleSmith, BNS, Societe, Stone, Green Flash, and MIssion with tasty bites from Red Oven Pizza, Crabcakes 911, WOW WOW WOW Waffles, and Delicioso food trucks.
Aside from the fantastic beer and bites being offered, guests can participate in bocce ball, ping-pong, and giant Jenga for a relaxing Saturday afternoon downtown. Weather is forecasted to be sunny and 75 degrees to make for a perfect way to spend a Southern California fall day.
Maker Quarter’s focus on the arts community and livelihood of downtown San Diego will also have local makers onsite of the event for live custom menswear tailoring, mural painting, silk-screen and home brewing demonstrations.
$20 gets you into the event for three pours and three bits or go up a level and pay $35 for eight six-ounce beer pours and four sample bites. To purchase tickets go to: http://craftbeerandbites.bpt.me.
