'Saturday Night Live': Jean Dujardin makes cameo in 'Artist' spoof (video)

We have seen "Saturday Night Live" do a variety of dance-oriented sketches over the years, in particular in their quaint little setting of a French cafe. However, this weekend's show was the first we have seen where the star of a French silent film managed to take center stage.

Currently the star of the moment for his performance in "The Artist," Jean Dujardin made an appearance in this week's sketch as basically a modified version of his own character. While it was not necessarily funny in a laugh-out-loud sort of way, the sketch did still yield plenty of great moments as Dujardin danced around with host Zooey Deschanel and some of the other cast members.

In some ways, this evening had to have been one of the hardest for the cast -- after all, they were performing a mere few hours after Whitney Houston's passing stunned the community.

What did you think about this sketch?
