Since retiring from their day jobs, Clintonville residents Bill Cohen and Carl Yaffey have been as busy as ever in their second careers as folk musicians.

From 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, Cohen and Yaffey will lead an old-fashioned folk music sing-along in the social hall of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 West Henderson Road in Columbus.

Bill Cohen (guitar) and Carl Yaffey (banjo) will take the audience back 50 years in time with songs from summer camp, church retreats, and backyard bonfires: "If I Had a Hammer," "Puff the Magic Dragon," "Kum Ba Ya," "This Land is Your Land," "Michael Row the Boat Ashore," "We Shall Overcome," Sixteen Tons," "Charlie on the MTA," "This Little Light of Mine," "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," "Where Have all the Flowers Gone?" and many more familiar tunes.

Suggested donation is $10 per person at the door. Proceeds will go to research to find a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and to help those stricken with the illness. For more information, call Bill Cohen at (614) 263-3851.
