Presented by the PASCAT Philippine Performing Arts, the Parol Lantern Festival is being held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Jacob Center's Celebration Hall.
Organizers at Healing Hearts for Haiyan said the event serves "as a visual tribute and message of hope for the Philippines."
PASACAT will raffle two Parols -- Philippine star lanterns made of capiz, also known as a winter oyster shell -- and all proceeds will be donated to the Haiyan Typhoon Relief.
The Parol Festival will also serve as a collection point for the community to donate items which will be sent via the LBC Foundation.
“So many of us have been emotionally touched by the stories coming from the Philippines,” said Anamaria Labao Cabato, PASACAT's executive director. “Sharing a piece of ourselves through art is a perfect way to heal.”
