Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Long Beach Comic Expo was an exciting event for all in attendance. As a smaller pop culture convention, attendees were able to have a one on one experience with some of Marvel and DC’s writers, editors and inkers including Marv Wolfman, Barbara Randall Kesel and Todd Nauck. Guests were also able to meet professional cosplayers like Ani-Mia, Constantine in Tokyo and Vegas Power Girl.

Eat Geek Play was one of the several exhibitors who were offering exclusive merchandise for sale to all attendees of the expo. Other exhibitors had free comic previews or buttons for visitors to their booths. Some of the artists were even offering to do commissioned artwork for guests.

Long Beach Comic Expo had a host of panels ranging from an unofficial audio drama of “The Hunger Games” to a Cards Against Humanity tournament. Many of the panels featured tips on creating comics or advice on choosing a character to cosplay as.

Everything about the Long Bach Comic Expo was meant to delight the attendees, including a collection of prop cars that were located at the front entrance. Guests were able to take photos of and sometimes with the cars themselves (having obtained permission from the owners first). Some of the cars in attendance were the Jeeps from Jurassic Park, a DeLorean from Back To The Future, KITT from Knight Rider and the Batmobile from Batman Returns.

The Long Beach Comic Expo will be continuing on Sunday, June 1, 2014 and tickets are still available for those who want to join in on the fun.
