At a desk sits a pretentious being seeking to devour any individual. All of humanity is on its territory and he wants it back!
Day and night a plan is put into place to eliminate as many people as possible from the young to the old. Though many are used by him to destroy others, nobody is excluded.
Strategically positioning his pawns on his map of the United States, he moves key players into position like a general preparing for combat.
Tall and slanky, lurking over him is the terrible beast who is assigned to carry out this plan of attack. The room is cold and dark. A flickering light that hoovers above the general’s head revealing his plans of dominance and human depravity.
At the top right corner of the map are the words, Todays mission. Scribbled below Today’s Mission are found the bullet points assigned to make the mission a success:
- Kill 1 person every 14.6 minutes;
- 1 old person every 1 hour and 32 minutes;
- 1 young person every 2 hours and 3 minutes
- Make Suicide the 10th ranking cause of death in the U.S.
The plan is carried out in 2008 and Suicide-the beast, plagues a great nation who claims identity to Christ, and Christianity its foundation.
He returns back to camp with the report but Satan gives him a stern rebuke.
“Focus, and don’t celebrate on the weak many but on the strong few. Uses the masses of the weak to show a disllusional strength to the strong. It will weaken them as individuals and plague their minds with fear. Create doubt and emptiness in any ones words so that self-preservation will super exceed the truth.” The door closes and muffling is heard between Satan and his cohorts. Listening through the door most of the words are muffled, except for the ones that are emphasized. Drawing an ear to the door, the words “Tulsa!” “Christians!” “Death!” “Suicide” jump out.
A cold eerie silence follows. Suddenly the door is flung open. The beast flys out with the assignment in hand.
Reported recently by Tulsa World the suicide rate from 2010 to 2011 increased significantly to 38 percent, a far cry from the creeping average of 13 percent from the previous years.
“Suicide is actually quite common in our state. We’ve been experiencing an increase in suicides for pretty much two years,” said Jessica Hawkins, prevention service director for the Oklahoma Department of Mental health and Substance Abuse Services.
