We all love the perfect little black dress (LBD) but sometimes the season dictates that we mix it up a bit. A spring inspired dress can produce a multitude of fresh new looks. Pictured above, is a dress which offers many styling options with its soft rose motif, printed on a white background.
For office duty, just pair it with- a soft pink, short sleeved silk jacket, gold cuff, nude peep-toe heels, and for a pop of spring color-a powder blue purse. Details are what transform this simple ensemble into your own personal style. Notice the ruffles on the jacket, or the ever-so-sweet bows on the front of the heels? Both items soften the edginess of the zippers on the bag, but they can also be used with other items in your closet, too. Always purchase items that can pull double duty! (See slideshow for preview.)
Switch to a sassy date look by just swapping out the accessories. Slip on a lightweight leather jacket, green scarf, studded cuff, and edgy cut out heels. Add the red, studded heart purse and it just makes the whole outfit come together. Evenings, at this time of year, dictate that we prepare for lower temps and the scarf will help, plus it adds a great zing of color. Or if the heat rises, you can slip out of the jacket and just use the scarf alone. (See slideshow for preview.)
Here are more ideas for any spring inspired dress:
· Pair it with simple flat sandals, and a small bag, with a long strap worn across the body-for a day of shopping in the city.
· For cooler weather, layer it over a yellow turtleneck, pull on a pair of brown knee-high boots, and bundle up in a green trench coat. Don’t shy away from bright colors just because the weather is lousy.
· Wear it over your best pair of bell bottom jeans, slip on a pair of sky high heels; and add a sleek, shiny, black envelope bag for a night out on the town. Don’t forget your green scarf!
There really are no limits to the options for your new spring dress; it will make a great addition to any wardrobe!
