Sasquatch! 2013 at the Gorge Amphitheatre has become a great Memorial Day weekend tradition for passionate music fans wishing to make a great escape from the daily grind.
The Northwest festival has announced its 2013 lineup. The unveiling of the lineup came at Sasquatch’s launch party, which took place Monday night, February 4th, at Seattle’s Neptune Theater. The party featured musical performances from Built To Spill, Cody ChesnuTT and "A Very Special Surprise Guest" who turned out to be Seattle chart topping artist, Macklemore. This year’s festival, which takes place Memorial Day weekend, May 24 – 27, will once again deliver an eclectic mix of local, national, and global artists from a variety of genres.
Some of the notable Northwest acts playing the festival include... Reignwolf, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Father John Misty, and The Postal Service. (See Photo Slideshow above...)
A little slice of musical heaven....
What makes Sasquatch! so enticing and special is the fact that it takes place in a little slice of heaven called The Gorge in George, Washington. If you can deal without some of the creature comforts and the mediocre festival food that The Gorge vendors provide, noisy campgrounds and crowds, Sasquatch is a nice respite and escape from the daily grind.
The festival is a total experience that celebrates art, creative expression and freedom and it comes wrapped up in a nice natural and beautiful package. There are a lot of great festivals throughout the world but like Bumbershoot, Sasquatch has a distinct Northwest flavor that is uniquely ours.
If you love good music of all genres from artists that are at various echelons of the music industry food chain, Sasquatch is certainly the go-to destination for those willing to make the pilgrimage.
