Video of the Sasha Obama yawn is battling the Michelle Obama eye roll for the most re-watched clip of Inauguration Day 2013.
OK, we made that up; Beyonce's performance is probably getting loads more clicks somewhere over on YouTube. But Sasha's yawn during the Inaugural speech and Michelle's look of distaste while her husband, President Barack Obama, chatted with GOP leader John Boehner at the Inaugural luncheon, are definitely getting their fair share of attention tonight.
(Did you miss this adorable moment in White House history when it unfolded on live TV? Check out video of the "priceless" Sasha Obama yawn here now.)
While Michelle's caught-on-camera gesture happened at the luncheon, the Sasha Obama yawn seen round-the-world was yawned right in the middle of the President's Inaugural speech, among the most important national addresses any POTUS ever gives.
The sleepy First Daughter sat beside her older sister, listening and clapping during appropriate parts of her dad's speech. As President Obama spoke about education policy to hundreds of thousands of attendees and millions more via television, though, little Sasha just couldn't hold it in anymore. She allowed herself one luxuriously long, seemingly satisfying yawn, and the world swooned.
Twitter rushed to defend the Sasha for her Inauguration Day 2013 faux pas, with some calling it "priceless". Another user tweeted, "Sasha just let out a big yawn during her father's speech -notoriously funny. Stealing the show yet again."
