While President Obama became the first African American president reelected in the United States, it didn’t stop the Sasha Obama yawn that is has become the talk of social media on Monday afternoon.
Despite a speech that helped lay out the president’s agenda for his second term, Sasha Obama was caught yawning on camera.
This shouldn’t necessarily be something that’s unexpected, of course (how many young daughters are interested in what their parents have to say while on the job, let alone a discussion revolving around politics).
Still, with President Obama being such a motivating and inspiring orator, it’s a bit of a strange and even funny juxtaposition to see his own daughter appear seemingly bored by her father’s impassioned speech.
Sasha Obama’s yawn is already becoming a trending topic online, and it’s getting more and more views on YouTube.
People are, surprisingly, even creating gifs of the brief moment caught on camera.
This is the second time in recent weeks that the president’s daughters have become the topic of national conversation. This past week, the NRA bashed President Obama for wanting to tighten gun control policy while at the same time, sending his daughters to a school secured by armed guards.
