Sasha Obama had a yawn escape while she was watching her dad's inauguration speech. The 11-year-old daughter on Barack and Michelle was sitting next to her older sister Malia and her mom, Michelle, on Jan. 21 and it's clear that it had been a long morning for Sasha. According to The Mirror, "Sasha didn't look impressed," but it seems like she was just tired, like most pre-teens and teenagers in America.
Barack Obama's speech may have bored Sasha a bit, especially if she didn't understand a lot of what he was talking about. There are not too many kids that can focus on something so serious (and confusing even) without showing some sign of tiredness.
Sasha Obama's yawn is getting loads of attention today. There have been times where other politicians yawned or fell asleep during an event (Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden), and most people just laugh it off. While a yawn is almost expected from the Obama girls on such a day, many seem to be passing the photo around and making a big deal out of it.
Plenty of people commented about Sasha's big yawn on Twitter and Facebook. Do you think she should have stopped herself from yawning? Should she be taking so much heat for yawning? She could have held in her yawn, but unfortunately she didn't and it was all caught on camera. She may be hearing about this for a long time.
