Saratoga Springs is nestled in beautiful Upstate NY, about three hours from Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Montreal, Canada.  Located just off I-87 Saratoga Springs is centrally located between the beginning of the  Adirondack Park Region 22 miles to the north, and the Albany, NY Capital District approximately 30 miles to the south. Transportation to and from is easily arranged via air, bus, train or automobile.  And once you get there, what better way than to take the Saratoga trolly or a horse and carriage ride to traverse between the 2010 WinterFest events? The Winterfest is an annual Saratoga mid-winter tradition! Chowderfest is a community program of the Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau that takes place during  Winterfest weekend.  It is a fun family thing to do on a cold, wintery day.  Here's how it works:  Pick up a ballot form at any participating establishment, taste different soups and chowders for a $1 a cup (3oz. serving) and vote for your favorite.  Complete your ballot form and pick up your official Chowderfest Long-sleeve T-shirt for $7.00!
