The Sarasota Millionaires (2-1) will travel to Fort Myers on Saturday to take on the Florida Stingrays (3-1) in week five of the United Football Federation schedule. The game is slated for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff at Rutenburg Park 6500 South Point Blvd. Ft. Myers 33919.
The Millionaires are coming off a bye week after a 38-12 victory over the Florida Veterans on February 23rd in Port Charlotte. Quarterback Mario Davis threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead the offense. Defensive Captain Marvin “Mo” Harris led the Millionaires “Blackout” defense to a stellar showing, holding the Veterans offense in check for most of the game. Sarasota sits atop the United Football Federation’s Southern Conference West Division with a 2-1 record.
The Stingrays ran roughshod over the South Florida Xtreme 40-6 last week and are in second place in the UFF Southern Conference South Division, one game behind the undefeated Broward County Cowboys (4-0).
The Millionaires will play at home for the first time in a month on Saturday March 16th against the Broward County Cowboys at Booker High School 3201 N. Orange Ave. Sarasota. Kick off is at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00 with children under 6 years old admitted free.
