Sarasota GTE Federal Credit Union robbed

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a robbery of the GTE Federal Credit Union located at 3510 Fruitville Road in Sarasota.

Around 12:30pm Tuesday afternoon, the suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the teller.

The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was observed during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Sarasota Police Department at 941-954-7025.
