The Sarasota Film Festival has announced that attendees to the 2013 event will be able purchase tickets, view festival information and receive special offers and alerts from sponsors and local merchants near festival venues in Sarasota from their smartphone using the mobile mall platform SAMY.
“We are always striving to provide the best festival experience to our guests, sponsors and partners,” said Tom Hall, Director of the Sarasota Film Festival. “SAMY offers us our first-ever mobile optimized ticket sales platform, giving us a unique opportunity to offer value to our festival attendees and sponsors.”
SAMY is an award-winning, patent pending, global mobile marketing and loyalty network that enables merchants, brands and retailers to engage with new customers and provides businesses an easy way to quickly integrate all the important retail touch points including POS, gift cards, mobile offers, loyalty systems and more into one, synchronized mobile platform.
“This was an excellent opportunity to leverage our mobile network to support one of the leading film festivals and recognized events on the Suncoast,” said Dan Miller, CRO of MobileBits. “We’re excited to support the Sarasota Film Festival and provide their sponsors, partners and the entire Sarasota merchant and retailer community a unique and immediate mobile opportunity before, during and after the event to reach festival attendees and the larger SRQ community.”
Big Dog Update - Steve Duemig remains off the air while contract negotiations continue with WDAE. Duemig posted the following on his Facebook page last night: “Thank you all for your comments. Nothing has been accomplished yet, but your loyalty and encouragement I want to acknowledge. I am still off the air until I think it is a fair deal. And, it is NOT about the money, no matter what anyone says.”
