Ryan Murphy’s FX horror series, American Horror Story keeps getting gayer and gayer; in a good way. Last weeks episode saw the introduction of more victims of the home; a bickering gay couple. Newly out actor Zachary Quinto, plays a fluffer (no, not that kind) brought in to decorate the house for Halloween.
Now, sources say, out actress Sarah Paulson will be joining the cast as a medium named Billie Dean for a four-episode arc. Paulson will be reunited with her Glass Menagerie co-star Jessica Lange in what is sure to be an acting tour-de-force.
This is what makes great television. Langes' chilling portrayal as the Harmon’s all to nosey next-door neighbor is a captivating mix of a psycho Blanche DuBois with a dash of Nurse Ratchet. Combine that with Paulson’s generally sweet demeanor and prepare for some fireworks.
Murphy has a knack for integrating gay story lines into his projects and getting extraordinary actors to perform them. We can’t wait to see Paulson join the show.
