Sarah Palin writes 'war on Christmas' book to regain political relevance

Sarah Palin's loyal publisher HarperCollins announced on Tuesday that it signed her to do third book. This one will be entitled, “A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas,” and it will reportedly contain her wit and wisdom regarding returning the Christmas holiday back to its religious roots. Palin will also share many cherished family memories of Christmases past.

Sarah Palin has been sliding into obscurity for years, but she won't go down without a fight as long as Tea Party fans are willing to pony up the money for her liberal-bashing prose. So, what does a former vice-presidential candidate, half-term governor of Alaska and failed Fox News commentator do to stay in the limelight? She writes another book.

But the book’s core will address the so-called “War on Christmas” that is touted by ultra-conservatives every year during the jolly yuletide season.

“This will be a fun, festive, thought-provoking book, which will encourage all to see what is possible when we unite in defense of our faith and ignore the politically correct Scrooges who would rather take Christ out of Christmas,” Sarah said in a statement.

Palin hasn’t been in headlines much lately, except when Fox News opted not to renew her contract and the movie “Game Change” about her 2008 vice-presidential run won several awards at the 2013 Golden Globes. It was a movie that revealed the difficulties experienced by John McCain’s staff trying to work with Palin and how demanding, neurotic and self-serving she was reported to be.

Also, as more Republicans turned their backs on Tea Party radicals like Sarah “death panels” Palin, Rush Limbaugh, sterling gentleman that he is, was the one who came to her defense.

“Going Rogue”, was Sarah Palin’s first book, which was a best seller and she penned a less memorable book, which no one remembers, called “America by Heart.”

Palin’s anticipated Christmas masterpiece is supposed to be released in November, just before the holiday season.

Here is a tantalizing excerpt:

“Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored,” Palin said in a statement released through her publisher.

No doubt Bill O’Reilly will invite her on his show to promote her book and tell stories of those obnoxious clerks, who cheerfully greet people with, “Happy Holidays” every year, which makes sanctimonious conservative minds go postal. Palin and O’Reilly could make a whole show out of how the blasphemous public wants to rename the Christmas tree the Holiday tree...and other laughable absurdities.

Not to be outdone, Sean Hannity will likely have Palin appear as his guest to bash all society’s pagans, who believe in the separation of Church and State, freedom of religion, creationism doesn't belong in schools and that elected officials in Congress shouldn’t legislate based on their personal interpretation of the bible.

There was no mention of how much Palin was paid for her stop-picking-on-Christmas book, but she was paid a $1.2 million advance for “Going Rogue”.

Sarah Palin will be among many other has-beens to speak later this week at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Best-selling books allow people to charge a higher fee for speaking engagements and it appears Palin is in the process of mapping out her career future.

Palin may still have Tea Party loyalists, who will line up in droves to buy her book, but don’t be surprised to see discount copies of “A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas,” on the shelves of Wal-Mart and Dollar Stores everywhere next year.
