Sarah Palin tells Newsweek 'I can win': Facebook and Twitter erupt

 Sarah Palin tells Newsweek "I can win." 

Sunday morning Newsweek announced via Facebook that Sarah Palin will appear on next week's magazine cover. Perhaps more interesting, Newsweek reports the former half term governor of Alaska and failed 2008 vice-presidential candidate claims that "I do believe that I can win" when asked about a potential 2012 presidential run.

The announcement immediately began to draw attention throughout the Internet, as Facebook, Twitter and other websites erupted in reaction to the breaking news. As one might expect with a divisive and polarizing figure such as Palin, reactions were mixed, yet strongly felt, on both sides of the political aisle.
 
In general, many liberal and progressive Democrats smirk and scoff at a potential Palin candidacy, while many conservative Republicans hail Palin as some sort of savior for conservative America.
