It’s only been a few days since Sarah Palin and Fox News split ways but she is already speaking out as to why she decided to leave. According to Hollywood.com on Jan. 27, Palin expressed that she wanted to share her values more broadly than just preaching to the choir.
Palin’s contract with Fox News ended at the end of 2012 but she was recently offered to renew it. Palin turned down the offer. Palin was not specific about her long term plans but did state “the door is wide open.”
Palin began working for Fox News in 2009 and became their highest paid contributor, earning $1 million per year. Palin has often brought a lot of attention to the news network but some feel it was not the right kind of attention.
Palin has also had her reality TV show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on TLC in 2010 but the ratings were not good. Her daughter Bristol Palin even appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” and had her own reality show on Lifetime “Life’s a Tripp” which also did not have good ratings.
Sarah Palin has been constantly in the news or TV since the political one-time Vice President hopeful came into the public eye. Who knows where she will end up, whether it be TV or some other outlet. One thing is for sure, she is not done getting her point across.
