Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol talks 'Secret Life' appearance

Bristol Palin has been seen a number of times on TV alongside her famous mother Sarah, but on Monday the teen will be making her acting debut on an episode of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager".

For Bristol, it wasn't like the show was about her showcasing any sort of acting chops -- rather, she felt it to be a sort of "obligation" (as she told E! Online):

"I was excited to work with the cast and just to contribute to this show's message.

"I feel obligated [to speak out] because I've lived through this experience...the more I talk about it and the more I can be hands on about it, the better I feel about myself."

As for acting, Bristol says she doesn't really have any plans to continue down this career path long-term. She also said that Sarah was "excited" about her role.

After watching the clip of Bristol's nauseating "performance", watching that show is the LAST thing I want to do.

have better things to do - cleaning the litter box comes to mind.
Really Bristol says it well - she's doing it for herself and her good feelings - selfish Bitchtol. Just like mama Scarah.

Who watches the baby while she's out selling her soul to Hollywood? Whatever happened to the PR firm she supposedly established? Whatever happened to the office job - for a dentist was it?- she supposedly supports herself on? What about the nice hunk of child support she gets from Levi?

What kind of role mode is she? Single mom-hood pays well!! Where would she be now if she had said no? No one would be paying her just to be Sarah Palin's oldest daughter who walked the talk.

    Katie,

Good questions. Here is what I believe:

The PR company was a sham from the word go. It either served as a conduit for her mother's PAC and book and speech income; expenses paid to third parties. Or, it was a way for Bristol Palin to deduct income via the LLC, which can be taxed by IRS as a corporation, sole proprietorship or partnership, depending on set-up. If her "acting" and abstinence lecturing is self employment, then she can enjoy certain write-offs.

As for her office job, dollars to donuts, bada to the bing that there is a family connection there. The doctor either owes the Palins a favor; is related to them in some way or is being extorted via regulatory agencies still headed or staffed by Palin appointees. After all, what kind of job allows a low level employee to gallivant around nation, go to Hollywood and go to NYC to do The View and Good Day NY? Her job is like a no-show, no-work job on THE SOPRANOS.

Bristol Palin is another uneducated but shrewd sociopa
