While speaking with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Friday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi a "dingbat," adding that the California Democrat is a "perfect spokesperson" for Obama's Democratic Party.
Palin responded to a question about how Romney and the Republicans should respond to refusal by Democrats to acknowledge that the individual mandate in Obamacare is a tax.
"First off," she said, "Nancy Pelosi is a dingbat."
"And she is the perfect spokesperson for this whole agenda of the far left running the Democrat Party," she added.
Palin also said she knows a "number" of Democrats who are "absolutely embarrassed and disgusted" with the leadership provided by Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
According to Palin, they want to "bail out" of the Democratic Party specifically because of Pelosi's remarks.
Recently, Pelosi claimed that the contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder was part of a vast conspiracy to stop his efforts at vote suppression.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) responded by calling her statement "mind-numbingly stupid."
"I don’t know what was wrong with her when she said that. But I would schedule an appointment with my doctor if she thinks that we are doing this to suppress votes this fall. That is mind-numbingly stupid," he said.
Pelosi has made a number of outlandish claims over the years. Last August, for example, she claimed Republicans want to destroy everything.
"It’s about clean air, clean water, food safety, public safety. You name it, they’re there to diminish it, destroy it," she said.
Earlier in the year, she said Democrats are trying to save life on planet Earth as we know it.
Her more recent comments caused talk show host Rush Limbaugh to label her "the mayor of the new planet Stupider."
Palin finished her answer by saying Pelosi is "the perfect spokesperson for President Obama's Democrat Party."
