If Sarah Palin decides to run for president in 2012 she will not be granting another interview to Katie Couric. In an interview with Sean Hannity Palin said she would not "waste time" by interviewing with Couric. Palin also claimed that Couric was biased against her,
"As for doing an interview, though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time? No."
Palin went on to say that she knows how journalism should be done because she received a bachelor's degree in communications from University of Idaho. Palin states that journalist should stick to the "who, what, where, when, and why of reporting."
What Palin fails to mention is that Couric interview of her consisted almost exclusively of "who, what, where, when, and why" questions. In fact, the question Palin struggled with the most was very simple "when" and "what" question. Couric asked "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?" When Palin responded with "all of them" Couric asked "what" publications she reads specifically. Palin could not answer the question which obviously looked bad. Couric question was by no means a "gotcha" question. Couric did not ask Palin to cite three sources explaining China's monetary policy. Couric asked her what she reads to form her viewpoints about the world. If that is not a "what" question it is unclear what Palin believes qualifies.
After Tina Fey mocked the interview on Saturday Night Live Palin's polling numbers quickly took a dive. Eventually even Palin admitted that it was a bad interview.
If Palin really wants to see what an example of harsh "gotcha" journalism looks like she should look no further than her own network. When Bret Baier interviewed President Obama he continually interrupted the President and asked leading questions which tried to put the President in a corner. Bill O'Reilly's interview of President was also very aggressive compared to Couric's interview of Palin.

How is it "biased" to ask very basic questions about policy and legislation?! Give me a break! She had no clue.
She has it all over ANY of the woman on the left!
They have no one to match her.
$arah's STILL whining about that softball Couric interview wherein she exposed herself for the ignorent duma$$ that she is? It seems the self pity and the grudge holding will never end with that woman.
"Just about as many Americans want Tea Party-backed members of Congress to take the lead in setting policy during the next year as choose President Obama, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds.
In a survey taken Friday through Sunday, 28% say Obama should have the most influence on government policy next year while 27% say the Tea Party standard-bearers should. GOP congressional leaders are chosen by 23%, Democratic congressional leaders by 16%.
The results reflect the strength of the Tea Party movement as the GOP prepares to take control of the House of Representatives in January.
The survey also underscores Obama's weakened standing. His overall job approval rating, at 42%, is 1 percentage point higher than his historic low in midsummer. His 35% approval rating on the economy is the lowest of his presidency."

If the elitists in the mainstream media had asked Obama about what he read/studied/wrote/taught, maybe so many Americans wouldn't have been shocked by what we got!
