When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin stepped down from office in the summer of 2009, some people sniffed that her motivation was money. Whether money was her motivation or not, the months since leaving government office have been lucrative for Palin, who has made twelve million or more dollars since becoming a private citizen.
Palin has multiplied her salary, which was $125,000/year as governor of Alaska, by at least 100 times, according to an ABC news report.
Palin's hefty income has been coming from her reported $7 million book deal and her speaking engagements. Palin will have additional income from her new TLC series, Sarah Palin's Alaska.

At least she did not steal it from anyone. She earned it. I don't understand the hatred towards the earners of this country who pay taxes to support slackers at the bottom. It would be better to report on Nancy Pelosi using Army planes to parade her family around the country.
she left her post as Governer of Alaska to make money... this is why some people do not like her
Maybe because she is making money for not doing anything but complaining about others. She had a chance to make the changes that she is speaking about as governor but she quit that job. Let's vote her into another job in 2012 that she can quit. I hate her because she is a moron.
Hey Dumbassduane, great comment. "She is a moron". Why is she a moron Duane? Any reasons for you hating her, probably not you dumbass.
This is a good thing. She can finally afford to buy her own clothes.
PT Barnum once said - there's a sucker born every minute. There are a lot of them supporting this circus. Wow - I see why she quit on the Alaskans. She's laughing all the way to the bank and then some.
