Though Sarah Palin resigned her role as Alaskan Governor, she has become quite vocal on Facebook lately regarding President Obama’s health care plan. Using terms such as downright evil and death panels, Sarah Palin’s official Facebook page has a new entry dated Friday, August 6, 2009 at 4:26 p.m. The following is the transcript of the posting.
Statement on the Current Health Care Debate
Share
As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!
The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.
Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.
We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

She put a link to Representative Bachmann’s speech, I included the video below.
Without surprise, the note has drawn plenty of praise and criticism on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page. While some have replied offering their prayer, support, and encourage Sarah to continue ‘fighting the good fight’ others have taken to harsh words and have cursed Sarah Palin on her Facebook page. There is no doubt that tempers are flaring across the nation regarding President Obama’s health care plan.
Town halls look more like bar fights than meeting places to voice one’s opinion in a diplomatic fashion. Other posters have likened those who support the President’s health care plan to Nazis, and refer to President Obama as Hitler; recently the ADL Anti Defamation League has issued a public statement denouncing the attacks. When it comes to fighting in an uncivilized manner, however, no party is without blame.
Regarding Sarah Palin’s claims of death panels, however, this is related to a controversial requirement included in the health care plan. The plan includes legislation that would ask patients if they have a living will. The plan would allow Medicare to pay for end of life counseling, should a patient desire that. President Obama has stated that end of life decisions would never be forced by law. Many opponents of the health care plan, however, believe the plan would force euthanasia.

The President has no elders in his family that he has respect for. It is the only way a man can give up his compassion for others. I don't want a man without compassion making any decisions for my 87 year old father. Get out of our heads, and off of our televisions, and radios, and newspapers Obama.
I wish Sarah Palin would get a real job (one she will keep for a while) and save the propaganda rant for 2012 . She's been in the press as much as Obama, and she's not even a politician. At least when Obama gives a speech, you can understand it, whether you agree with him on not. And now she's starting with evil vs "real American" BS again. Reminds me of Bush with the "evil doer's" and "Axis of Evil" rhetoric. Wonder if they both attended clone college. (notice how careful I was not say clown college).
God I hate that crazy witch - until she shows her medical records proving that last kid is her I will keep believeing she isn't and it is just another lie out of her ugly mouth
Sarah Palin is bat-shit crazy and is making all this up. James, you're naive, or worse, plain stupid, to believe that Obama's plan is actually going to disadvantage elderly people. If you listen to his statements about what he's proposing, what in there says that there are any decisions made about terminating care to elderly people who are ill?? My grandfather is 102 years old this October, and our family doctor has advised us that if he complains of pain or not feeling well, we call an ambulance, but that we call a non-emergency ambulance. That isn't euthanasia, or preferential treatment to younger patients, it's COMMON SENSE. Why would you revive someone who is 102 (or 92, or whatever once you're over 85) if they're taking a massive heart attack? So that they can live on a ventilator or without brain function for another 2 or 3 years? Nothing will change under his plan, if you're happy with your insurance plan, you can keep it. This just gives those who can't afford one a chance.
You all are missing the point we now have people in this country sucking up our tax money because the qualify for disability because they decided to tatoo their face. You think that with practices like this we won't get health care or we will be denied that is wrong. Under the current practices which need to be reformed we have no problems giving money to just plan stupid lazy people who have figured out a way to milk the system. I think this health care program is good needs a little more tweeking but it can work. Don't buy into the thinking that socialized medicine is bad what we have right now is bad and we are letting the the insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies brain wash us into thinking their capitalistic method is better but in this case very wrong we need something instead of nothing if everyone has access to health care we can do a lot of preventative which can cut down on a lot of disability claims and a whole lot of of other problems we have in society
Bush was called Hitler at a far greater rate than Obama ever thought of. "Bush is Hitler," and "Bush/Nazi" signs were par for the course at many (if not most) anti-Iraq war rallies and marches across America.
Now we have Pelosi implying that there are Nazi sympathizers showing up at town hall meetings, carrying swastikas and all.
One need only got to:

At that link above is the whole video, and says that on 8/5/09 Dems (via email) urged SEIU to counter protestors, and 8/6/09 the Politico reported that WH Deputy COS Told Dems to punch back twice as hard....
... Obama, when running for president, told his supporters to "Argue with your neighbors, get in their face."
At hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2009/08/07/why-obamacare-goons-do-not-help-obamacare/
we learn (according to what's there) that Big Labor threatened to directly engage ObamaCare protestors (link from HuffPo), the WH threatened to hit back twice as hard, violence follows, In St. Louis and Tampa Bay, ObamaCare supporters sneak into town hall through side doors to fill the front rows with SEIU drones, and that this is all out of the HCAN astroturf playbook, after the left falsely accuses the right of this.
The Congresional Budget Office showed that Obama was lying when he said that his gov't subsidized plan would lower costs. They said it would raise costs, and with that comes rationing, and the elderly, sadly, are rationed out in gov't subsidized systems, because many treatments for them aren't viewed in gov't systems as cost effective because of their age.
In the end, screw ObamaCare.
BTW, this thread seems to have some anti-Palin sexism taking place in it.
I remember when the sexist anti-Hillary tees that said "Bros Before Hos" were worn at Obama rallies when he was running against her.
Sad, real sad.
Reminds me of some ladies that have columns in various newspapers still attacking Palin relentlessly.
I often wonder if there is some self-loating taking place in their columns that they write about her. Probably is, but there shouldn't be. They ought to be proud that a strong woman (Palin) is out there fighting for what she believes in, even if they disagree with her.
That Sarah Palin is just downright ignorant! Betcha that!!!
The President's Healthcare Plan is capable of succeeding... but for what most have overlooked - secessionism. Perhaps most causal to our nation's status. Whereas, it is divided, vastly. Washington is not the problem, the 50 States and 7 Territories and/or Commonwealths, are! Corruption in Washington (DC), comes from outside influence - representatives or delegates of the States, et al, that Washington was entrusted to maintain the unity. Not much is unified in the United States today. Going to a different state is like going to a foreign country or another America - the crux. Simply put, each individual state, and its citizenry, wants to do things their own way. To speak bad about Washington is senseless, as each citizen should be focused upon government corruption within their respective state. If not doing so, there's a good chance that you're being hoodwinked by your own officials and thus, placing all blame upon Washington. All Americans need to unify. Sarah Palin? N/A!
Sarah Palin? N/A! N/A? In this instance, for "no action" and "not acclimated" and moreover, "not astute" - all talk, not acclimated to the reality of american life, and, not astute enough to be: addressing such issues, president, governor and other things (not available and not applicable). Nonetheless, never to be qualified to hold any public office.
Ms. Palin, 45 million or more are without health care. These are the millions are on the death list and no one cares ay least for the past 20 years or more. That's evil. No compassion for Katrina families, Evil, all are on a death list, has nothing to do with the present president. How many have been killed in a war based on a lie, wounded Americans suffering in veterans' hospitals, we mourn everyday. Where has Palin been, under a rock. Evil has been here from the beginning, a long time. Americans have seen evil too many times. Study evil acts, Ms. Palin, and explain your true inner feelings, as you said at rallies, he is pallying around with terrorist, and your audience shouting with a henious, evil, demonic, terror voice, kill him, meaning the president. That is your true self. You never called that evil and it was. Over 3,000 death threats reported against the president's life, why? Is all this health care protest racial hatred. Is that Evil?

An Honest Look At The House Dems' End-Of-Life Counseling Regime
8/9/09
"Democratic politicians and the MSM consider it a given that concerns about the "end-of-life counseling" provision in Section 1233 of a House-drafted version of health care legislation are nothing but the unfounded product of right-wing fear-mongering.
But Charles Lane of the Washington Post, certainly no right- winger, has taken a careful look at Section 1233 and finds that he too is concerned.
Lane argues that the "consultations" provided for in Section 1233, while not mandatory, are not "purely voluntary" either as the Democrats have claimed. Thue, he writes "Section 1233 lets doctors initiate the chat and gives them an incentive - money - to do so. Indeed, that's an incentive to insist."
As lane notes, common sense tells us that Section 1233 would place senior citizens in a situation where they will feel pressured...
Cont. above
... to sign end-of-life directives that they would not otherwise sign. The federal government should not be in the business of skewing end-of-life counsel and thus end-of-life decisions.
Lane concludes:
Ideally the delicate decisions about how to manage life's end would be made in a setting that is neutral in both appearance and fact. Yes it's good to have a doctor's perspective but Section 1233 goes beyond facilitating doctor input to preferring it. Indeed, the measure would have an interested party - the government - recruit doctors to sell the elderly on living wills, hospice care, and their associated providers, professions and organizations. You don't have to be a right-wing wacko to question that."
At the end, Charles Lane says that he does not want an authority figure paid by federal bean-counters to influence him in his health care and end-of-life decisions.

I don't think that Sara Palin was referring to the "end of life" consoling. The section she is referring to is Sec. 1401; Comparative Effectiveness Research. This program computes the cost verses your life expectancy; thus the early comment by Obama that if your above a certain age you should consider a pain pill in instead of surgery. They use this in England and they do in fact deny services if you have a denominator problem.
Life or Death is not the Obama gangs business! If he insists on playing GOD he better be ready to reap the whirlwind in his life that will come !
Does Obama really care about people he has nothing invested in ? The answer here is a profound NO !
A baby in the womb under this man is in danger at it's most innocent, so why would he care about older Americans ?
Remember , it's not his money .
Obama your NOT GOD and you need to stay out of peoples lifes.
Got something to say?
