A new Sarah Michelle Gellar pilot will bring the former TV actress back to her first role since "Ringer" on the CW. The brand new show will be a CBS sitcom featuring Gellar and comedian/actor Robin Williams.
A report on The Inquisitr on Feb. 17 indicates that the new pilot is for "The Crazy Ones." The show is created by David E. Kelley who created former shows "Ally McBeal," "The Practice" and "Doogie Howser." Gellar's character is named Sydney Roberts and is described as "pretty, intense, drive, organized, and burdened with being practical."
It also stars Robin Williams, who hasn't been in a TV show of his own since "Mork and Mindy" back in the 80's. Williams has been mostly appearing in films, as has Gellar, now Sarah Prinze, since she's married to actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. Gellar rose to fame with her TV role on "Buffy The Vamprie Slayer" which ran from 1997 through 2003. She appeared on the spinoff series "Angel" as well, reprising her role as Buffy Summers in 1999 and 2000.
"The Crazy Ones" hasn't been given any official details of its intended release date yet, but will be available on CBS via Cox Cable channel WDBJ 7 in Roanoke.
