Sarah McLachlan has announced plans for a tour of Canada, which will take place this fall, following her recently announced U.S. summer tour leg.
According to an update posted on March 5 at the multi-Grammy and Juno winner's official Facebook page, the Canuck singer-songwriter reveals that a homeland trek is "in the works" and will be announced once details are confirmed.
In response to numerous queries from Canadian fans left scratching their heads at the absence of homeland dates in her recent tour announcement, the "Angel" hitmaker posted, "I see folks are asking about a Canadian tour and YES! of course I'm planning on doing one! It's in the works and will be announced as soon as it's all solidified...I can tell you it will be in the fall."
Updating fans on the new album status, McLachlan adds, "In the meantime we are putting final touches on the record as we speak....xoS."
The Lilith Fair founder will release her first studio album in four years, titled "Shine On," on May 6 and unveiled the cover art for the album earlier this week.
The U.S. Shine On Tour leg kicks off June 20 at Woodinville, Wash. at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and wraps up Aug. 3 in Dallas, Texas at Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House.
General onsales or most shows begin this weekend.
