Sarah McLachlan offers free personalized 'Shine On' Mother's Day cards

Sarah McLachlan has come up with a unique way to promote her latest album and celebrate Mother's Day at the same time. The multi-Grammy and Juno winning Canadian singer-songwriter is giving fans the chance to create free personalized Mother's Day e-cards, using lyrics from her newly released studio album "Shine On."

Posting to her official Facebook page on May 9, the 46-year-old Halifax, NS native and mother of two reminds fans to "celebrate the mom in your life and show her she shines your world" with an easy to use e-card tool, which employs verses from two of the album's tracks, "Beautiful Girl" and "In Your Boots." To create a "Shine On" Mother's Day e-card, head to, select a verse, insert a favorite picture and add a message.

Released on May 6, "Shine On" is McLachlan's eight studio album and her first release on Verve Records, after parting company with longtime label NettwerkArtista. The album features eleven-tracks and is available in CD and digital formats. Fans can also order the deluxe edition, which features an addition two songs. For more information, check out

The "Angel" hitmaker has been busy this week with promotional work in support of the new album, which included appearances on "Good Morning America," "The View," and "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." She recently hosted her first ever live Q&As on Twitter and Reddit and participated in a live Facebook Q&A with "Good Morning America."

In conjunction with the new release, the Lilith Fair founder announced a 19-city Canadian tour leg. The trek kicks off Oct. 18 in Victoria, BC at Save On Foods Memorial Centre and wraps up Nov. 21 in St. John's, NL at Mile One.

Her U.S. leg begins off June 20 at Woodinville, Wash. at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and finishes Aug. 3 in Dallas, Texas at Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House. For more details, visit
