Sarah McLachlan announces Shine On Tour meet and greets to benefit charity

Sarah McLachlan fans will have a chance to meet the multi-Grammy and Juno winner during her upcoming tour of North America and benefit a worthy cause with the purchase of special meet and greet tickets.

According to an update posted on March 8 at the Canuck singer-songwriter's official Facebook page, the "Angel" hitmaker is teaming up with to offer special meet and greet tickets with proceeds benefiting the Sarah McLachlan School of Music.

Founded by McLachlan in 2011, the school provides free music education for at-risk youth in Vancouver, BC. and her ongoing contributions earned the 46-year-old Halifax, NS native the Kiwanis International World Service Medal in 2013.

The U.S. Shine On Tour leg kicks off June 20 at Woodinville, Wash. at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and wraps up Aug. 3 in Dallas, Texas at Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House with a Canadian leg to follow in the fall.

The Lilith Fair founder will release her first studio album in four years, titled "Shine On," on May 6.
