Parker set the record straight to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" Dec. 18, where she revealed how hurt she was by the plastic-surgery rumors.

"I flipped the page and there was an article about my hands and how ugly they are and how I should go have cosmetic surgery to fix them and how I've been contemplating the surgery," said Parker.

And then there was a really crude drawing of my hands as a witch's hands. It was a really particularly vicious issue. It was all about how all these particular people are hated and they're the worst."

Sarah Jessica, a mom of three, said reading the nasty tabloid report made her sick to her stomach. "Literally, I was in the car dizzy," she recounted.

I felt like I needed to be hospitalized. But it really got me to thinking. And here's what I thought, 'Really? This is how low they go?' It was so ridiculous, so outrageous to me. Because here's the thing: I love my hands."

Part of the reason for Parker's veiny hands may be her longtime smoking habit, which she has tried to quit many times. In 2008, Sarah Jessica's husband, Matthew Broderick, expressed concern that their son James Wilkie may eventually start smoking himself because of his parents' influence.

“I used to smoke cigarettes, and I still do, lately," Broderick told NY magazine. "I gave that up a long time ago, but every now and then I will fall off for a week. (Sarah Jessica is) “worse than me on that.

My son is already curious. He’ll see a cigarette butt and say, 'What is that? Why do people smoke?' I can just see the little budding gene of a smoker in there.”

Parker has recently been photographed smoking in New York City, where she lives, so she hasn't successfully kicked the nicotine habit.

One thing that remains constant, however, is Parker's incredible discipline when it comes to diet and exercise. At 48, Sarah Jessica is as fit as ever, thanks to a low-carb diet and regular Pilates, yoga, and running workouts. Parker said she loves to eat but doesn't overdo it.

"I love to eat," she told Good Housekeeping. "I think about food all the time. Matthew and I will lie in bed at night, and we'll say to each other, 'What are we going to eat [for breakfast]? If you get up before me, are you going to make bacon? Will you make the eggs over easy? Will you put cheese in them?' Basically, we think and talk about food all the time."

But Parker has made more of an effort to diet and exercise, especially as she has gotten older. "I do like feeling fit and healthy," she said. "When you're young, you can run around and not really care about what shape you're in because you wake up every day feeling OK. But now that I'm older, I need to do more for myself."

Sarah Jessica, who's an enviable size zero, said actresses and other celebrities should not be held out as fitness role models because they have the money to hire people to help them look their best.

No real woman should look to any woman in this industry as an example. It's simply not applicable because of the enormous number of advantages we have. Women in this country should be reminded to be healthy rather than to be a size zero. I'm not going to kid you: Money changes everything. I'm fortunate enough to have things like private trainers and yoga classes. I realize that."
