Happy Mother's Day! Allow Sarah Jakes to inspire and bless you with her new book.
According to the Christian Post on Friday, Sarah Jakes is her own person, even though she is the daughter of T. D. Jakes. Sarah Jakes, 25, has written and authored a book, "Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life," and she opens her life, in this candid book, so that the reader can relate to her message.
Sarah has had a tumultuous life, starting at the age of 13, when she got pregnant. Following her pregnancy, she had to raise a child as a single mother. Then she married NFL player, Robert Henson, and after a short marriage, they divorced. Her life has been in the limelight because of the fame of her parents, mega pastor, T. D. Jakes and Serita Jakes.
In the interview with author, Sophia A. Nelson, Sarah tackles the subjects of: dreams, gossip, self-forgiveness, her mother, fashion and social media. Sarah's responses to queries from Nelson, cause one to feel like they are in a life-coaching session or on a motivational merry-go-round receiving nuggets of pure wisdom.
We though you might appreciate a few nuggets from Sarah -- paraphrased. Don't let your dreams die, even in the most difficult of challenges. Gossip hurts all women, but it can strengthen you if you are being gossiped about. Self-forgiveness is essential to build confidence - shame only covers up the real problem. Serita Jakes puts her children first by being loyal and loving. First impressions are extremely important, so you must look the part you want others to remember you by. Social media is a useful tool - use it wisely.
Jakes has become a role model for young mothers and young women all over the country. She has more than 244,000 followers on Facebook. You can get her book, "Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life." One nugget that Sarah left with listeners on the youtube by Arise Entertainment 360 is, "Love organically creates conviction."\
Have a blessed weekend!
