Sara Gilbert has been engaged to Linda Perry for some time now but the two didn't get married until Saturday. According to Us magazine via Yahoo! TV on March 31, the "Roseanne" actress and the former 4 Non Blondes singer wed in a secret ceremony that did include some guests such as her "The Talk" co-hosts.
Juliette Lewis spilled the beans about this celebrity wedding on Twitter, saying, "Holiday by Madonna playin, sun is beaming, gettin ready 4 the wedding of 1of my fave couples in the universe [sic]." She then copied Sara and Linda, who remained mum on the subject.
Gilbert and Perry, who started dating in 2011, were engaged last April during a romantic picnic in Griffith Park in Los Angeles planned by Perry.
When telling her "Talk" colleagues about that moment, Sara said, "I'm sitting there listening and I'm kind of daydreaming and I'm thinking like, 'If I ever proposed to her this would be an amazing way to do it."'
At that point, others enjoying a picnic on that sunny California day last year pulled a bunch of instruments and began to play "Love Song" by The Cure. Then Linda pulled five t-shirts out of her backpack, each one with one word and/or punctuation mark imprinted on the front. The total message was "Will you marry me?"
After Gilbert hastily gave her answer, John Waite appeared to sing"Missing You," to the couple.
Of course, Sarah Gilbert said yes, as evidenced by the wedding that took place on March 30. Details are forthcoming from the television commentator bride, but not until after she celebrates her new status while being on her honeymoon with spouse Linda Perry.
