“Santana Row lends itself to offering a place for the community to come together and share experiences,” says Collette Navarrette, director of marketing at Santana Row. “The Chinese New Year Celebration is just one of these types of events for the community to come together and celebrate a special time of year.”

A full schedule of events will honor the year of the horse with a program that ranges from live musical performances to multicultural dances. The performances begin at 1pm and entertain audiences every ten to fifteen minutes throughout the afternoon.

San Jose Taiko, martial arts and lion dances by Vovinam, and Ballet Folklorico Mexicano Fuego Nuevo are just a few performing arts groups that are lined up for the three-hour celebration.

While supplies last, red envelopes will be distributed to attendees by the Santana Row team and one lucky person will be the recipient of a red envelope that holds a $1,000.00 Santana Row gift card.

Participating Santana Row shops and restaurants will also offer special discounts on purchases made this weekend either on Saturday, Sunday or both days depending on the establishment.

The Chinese New Year Celebration at Santana Row is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 from 1pm-4pm. The main stage will be across from the Left Bank in Santana Row Park. Admission is FREE for all and the celebration is open to the public.
