For many years Al Horton has been portraying both Santa Claus and the English Father Christmas. He has helped create the curriculum for the acclaimed Santa Claus Academy of Atlanta Ga, and has now published a book to help both veteran Claus and new Santas alike.

The book, entitled Santa’s Book of Knowledge, is available through and contains 360 pages of useful information for anyone who wishes to portray the Jolly Old Elf or has a fascination with the character. There is a concise history of the legendary figure (some of which would seem controversial to some seasoned Santas), lessons on everything from wardrobe to make-up to voice characteristics to how to handle various types of situations in the red suit.

Also included are stories to help Santa develop content to use at various functions, including a thirteen chapter retelling of the 1932 book “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" by Julie Lane. This story tells of the origins of Santa Claus and of many of the elements that we associate with Christmas today.

This book is a must and would make a great addition to any Santa Claus library. Good ready for the novice and the professional from a seasoned and quite outstanding Santa Claus in his own right.
