It is no surprise that Santa Fe has claimed a spot on Travel + Leisure magazine’s list for “America’s Best Girlfriend Getaways.”
Santa Fe joins Austin, Texas; Maui, Hawaii; Charleston, S.C.; Scottsdale, Ariz., and other cities where groups of women love to vacation.
Travel + Leisure lists the natural beauty of the mountains, chocolate, a spa day capped off with a drink at Secreto, as a draw for women.
Apparently the writers have not visited Santa Fe during Indian Market Week when women spend days shopping for authentic Native American jewelry and art, attend Native American indie films, and go gallery hopping on Canyon Road and downtown.
Apparently they haven't seen women sitting in outdoor cafe's enjoying gourmet luncheons accompanied by Margaritas.
Apparently they haven't seen groups of women sipping wine and nibbling canape's on Canyon Road while talking with world-class artists during a Friday evening art opening.
Apparently they haven't seen groups of women cooking the day away at one of Santa Fe's well-known cooking schools.
And, apparently they haven't see groups of BFF's out shopping for hand-made fiber art, flowing cotton dresses and vintage purses at Santa Fe's boutiques, markets and art events.
Santa Fe has so much to offer women for a getaway... so much more than Travel + Leisure could ever imagine!
