Santa Cruz Warriors host NBA D-League Finals game 1 (Photos)

The Santa Cruz Warriors in their first season in Santa Cruz, CA will host game 1 of the NBA D-League Finals against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Downtown Santa Cruz. Tip off is set at 6:30 PM PDT.

The Warriors have a 2-1 edge over the Vipers in the 2012-13 season. Rio Grande Valley handed the Warriors their most lop-sided home loss this season at 131-100 on March 1, 2013. The Warriors did rebound the following night to win 130-112 against the Vipers. Santa Cruz won the road game at Rio Grande Valley 114-104 on March 15, 2013.

The Warriors earned the spot in the NBA D-League Championship by sweeping the Austin Toros 2-0 in the semi-finals. They also swept the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the first round of the playoffs.

Game two of the finals will be on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in McAllen, TX at the home of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Tip off is set for 5:00pm PDT. If necessary, game three will be on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the same time and place. CBS Sports Network will be broadcasting the game.
