Santa Cruz Mountains Valentiine's Day wine passport a perfect gift

See also

Give the gift of a Santa Cruz Mountains Winery Passport this Valentine's Day. Cost is $45 each, and good for complimentary wine tasting at each participating winery. It makes a perfect gift for that special Valentine and gives the gift that keeps on giving. Passports are valid for two years from date of the gift certificate redemption.

Christine Nickell, certified essential oil therapist, Santa Cruz, bought two passports at the annual Aptos Chamber of Commerce auction. She says, “To check out small, off the wall (literally) wineries, meet the folks behind the bottle and bring home wine to share is a treat! It is always a good time, taking a day to check out our local treasures.”

“These vintners are passionate people. The larger wineries are wonderful too, walking the grounds, each with its own signature style. I have spent quite a few passport days with friends exploring our local wineries, meeting the proud folks that make the wine, as well as meeting new people,” she enthused.

Visit wineries by sub-region

Participating wineries from Alfaro Family Vineyards to Zayante can easily be seen by sub-region, visited in small groups on each adventure. Passport Saturdays take place in January, April, July and November. Visitors may get their Passports stamped on other weekends during the winery’s normal tasting hours, but it’s best to call smaller wineries ahead to learn the hours that they are open.
