Santa Claus invades 'The Settlers Online: Castle Empire' with Christmas gifts

Today Dec. 12, 2013 Ubisoft announced that Santa Claus has invaded Blue Byte's "The Settlers Online: Castle Empire," transforming player's islands into winter wonderlands filled with presents that've "fallen from Santa's sled." Every day players log in they'll be able to get an "exclusive Christmas Surprise" from a button next to their avatar image. The surprise allows players to open a door and gain a "special reward" each day.

A special 2013 Christmas Event lets players of this free to play browser-based game complete eight quests involving Santa himself. Additionally, there will be "special daily quests" too. The new update brings a new resource to the game, presents, which can be traded to received "special Christmas items." Additionally, there's also a new Provision House now available in the game that gives "new buffs and refillers."
