Santa Claus and his helper, in the Polish town of Ustrzykach Dolnych, may now be on top of the naughty list, and that's not nice as the pair lost control of the horse pulled sleigh they were navigating through a busy city street reported Monday's Daily Mail Uk.
According to Police spokesman Dorota Glazowska:
"Technically, they were drunk while in charge of a vehicle on the road."
The Santa Claus actor and his pretend Mrs. Claus were heading down the busy street singing, waving, and not looking especially steady on their seats, when a car's horn scared the horse that was pulling the wheel drawn sleigh. Oops! The horse spooked, reared up, and instead of a mighty "ho ho ho" a witness described the sounds as "no no no."
Down tumbled down Santa and his helper. Both suffered concussions and were taken to the nearest trauma center.
The startling event was captured on camera by Zdzislaw Molodynski who stated:
"It was quite extraordinary. They were supposed to have been an attraction at the local market and lots of people were taking their children there to go and see them. But instead they saw these two, who were clearly under the influence, behaving like they had just come out of a nightclub or something."
Parents who had taken their children to the event to meet Santa may have been disappointed, but Santa and his helper under the influence may not have worked out well anyway.
