San Jose, CA (March 11) -- Are you a credentialed teacher but experiencing a hard time looking for a job?
Check this out! On Saturday, March 23, 2013, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) announced today that there will be a Teaching Candidates Meet at its 2013 Recruitment Fair to be held at its office at 1290 Ridder Park Drive in San Jose.
The recruitment fair will introduce job hunters to potential employers from districts across the country.
A total of 1,000 credentialed teachers are expected to attend the free teacher's fair this year. Expected to send their representatives to scout for qualified teacher candidates are from 26 school districts, 10 charter schools, and the SCCOE.
Contact person Karen Bacica of SCCOE said that applicants may pre-register online at http://www.sccoe.org. Bacica emphasized that candidates who pre-register will be able to enter the recruitment fair when it starts at 9:00 a.m. while those who do not pre-register may not enter until 11:00 a.m. and must show their teaching credentials to gain admittance.
The event starts at 9:00 a.m. up to 2:00 p.m.. According to Bacica's press statement, jobs that are specifically in demand include speech pathologists and teachers of special education, math, science, and foreign languages.
