This is the second installment for the holiday nail tutorials. I decided that I wanted to do something cute and fun but also easy. I scanned through pictures and liked the Santa and elf one I found, it looked simple and was really cute! Here is what you need: green and red polish, black and white polish (I used the thin stick ones because you're going to draw with this), and a shimmery gold polish.
First prepare your nails by filing them and applying a base coat. Next paint all of your nails green except for your ring finger, paint that one red. Choose whatever green and red you want. I did a darker green because it looked like Christmas to me and a slightly shimmery red, mainly because I liked it.
Next paint a thick black strip across each nail, here you're making a belt. I started by doing one thin line and then slowly filling it in, taking my time because it was a challenge for me. On your red nail grab the white and make one thick white line going down and through the black belt. Finish your red nail off by "tipping" your red nail with white. Looks like Santa right?
Finish off by using your gold to make a small buckle on each nail. I had a shimmer gold here and used a thin brush to make the buckle. Personally, I thought this was really simple to do and that's coming from someone who is artistically challenged.
Apply your top coat and you're finished. Fast and super cute Christmas nails, perfect for those Holiday parties! If you try these nails, show pictures and let me know how they worked for you! Also leave suggestions on what nails you want to see! I will do one more Christmas nail tutorial and then move onto New Years so let your suggestions rip!
