Sandy Rios: Obama is comparable to Hitler & Mao

The Religious Right's shtick of comparing Barack Obama to Communist China, Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany never seems to get old.

The American Family Association's Sandy Rios made the connection on her radio program again this week when she took a call from someone identified only as Michael, who said that "exactly the same thing" is happening in America as in Germany during the Nazi Party’s rise to power.

"I have a couple of observations," said the caller, "one real quick one: You see what the Obama administration is doing with the Constitution, go back to the early '30s and watch the Nazis rise. Exactly the same thing happened then."

The fact that Michael never once even mentioned what that thing Obama is doing with the Constitution actually is did not prevent Rios from enthusiastically agreeing with him.

"Yeah, yeah Michael I think that when you look at how — I’ve made comparisons to Mao Tse-Tung too — not complete always but the left has a method and they always repeat their method and so the method is being repeated here," Rios replied. "I totally agree with you and we're watching it."

Rios also completely neglected to mention what precisely it is about Barack Obama that makes her think of Adolf Hitler and Mao Tse-Tung, but if her track record is any indication, it's likely because Obama harbors feelings that you don't need to be white and Christian to be a human being.
