Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 26 students and teachers. A new report has been released by the NY Daily News that reveals that Lanza kept a detailed list of mass murderers.
According to the NY Daily News, police officials from Connecticut attended a law enforcement conference in New Orleans and revealed more details regarding the Sandy Hook shooting. One member of law enforcement who also attended the conference told the Daily News about the information discussed.
“We were told he had around 500 people on this sheet”, the law enforcement source stated. “Names and numbers of people killed and the weapons that were used, even the precise make and model of the weapons.”
“It had to have taken years. It sounded like a doctoral thesis that was the quality of the research.” The spreadsheet required a special printer to print the seven foot long and four foot wide paper.
The source also stated, “It was his intent to put his own name at the very top of that list. They believe that he picked an elementary school, because he felt it was a point of least resistance, where he could rack up the greatest number of kills. That’s what [the Connecticut police] believe.”
The law enforcement source went on to surmise that it was Lanza’s alleged “insane gaming” that led to him choosing the elementary school. Lanza supposedly “believed it was the way to pick up the easiest points” for each person he killed.
“The fascination he had with this subject matter, the complete and total concentration. There really was no other subject matter inside his head. Just this: Kill, kill, kill. It really was like he was lost in one of his own sick games.”
