So into You, the latest title by best selling Romance author Sandra Hill, sets us in her new Bayou Angels series. This time out, Ms. Hill puts former nun/treasure hunter/poker champ Grace O'Brien and her friend Angel Sabato in the foreground, in Houma, Louisiana. In an attempt to help a local family of “Katrina Orphans” whom Grace and Tante Lulu stumble across, to find their eldest sister has neglected to let the authorities in on the fact that she’s caring for her three siblings all on her own. The two women take the children under their wings, and decide it’s their duty to build the orphans a proper house.

At least it gives Grace something to do, other than worry about the fact that Angel may or may not be out of her life for good; and gives Angel something to think about, other than the fact that no matter what he tries, he can’t convince Grace they belong together, a situation that marks their ridiculous courtship which is helped along by the wily eighty some-odd year old matchmaking busybody, Tante Lulu, and (she thinks) her beloved Saint Jude. More importantly, Grace doesn’t want to seem to have much to do with it (despite her attraction to Angel—ye gods, what an attraction!), because she’s all bent out of shape over her murky background—she’s got enough baggage to fill up a whole series of soap operas, for sure; and that’s before the blackmail George comes after Grace. All leaving one to wonder if Angel might not just be better off telling Tante Lulu where to stick her St. Jude statues and get the heck out of town, for good.

So does he? Does Grace ever come to her senses? What is Grace’s “damnable” secret and just what does George want? And can Tante Lulu keep her meddling nose out of anyone’s business? You’ll have to read this one to find out!

I’d never read these books before receiving a review copy in the mail, recently, but … I enjoyed it very much—Loved (yes, capital L) Angel; Tante Lulu and the Ledoux clan were a hoot; but to say I wanted to strangle Grace, half the time, would be an understatement. But it’s all worth the 300-ish page wait to see what becomes of these two, and I think anyone will enjoy this book immensely whether or not she or he has read the previous titles in Sandra Hill’s  "Jinx" series. So do check out, her latest, So Into You. I think you’ll really enjoy it too.
