Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock was on “The Jonathan Ross Show” last week, according to an ABC report on Tuesday, and delightfully surprised the audience by offering to show her rapping skills. As the discussion about rap and Bullock’s knowledge of it progressed, she was asked if she would perform – and she did.
It turns out that the 49-year-old actress knows the words – and how to deliver – the legendary 1970’s rap song “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugarhill Gang.
She humorously yet honestly explained that she forced herself to learn the words to “Rapper’s Delight” while she was in high school to impress a guy, and sadly – she claimed – it worked out. She said that she told herself that the next time she was to go to a dance, she would know every word of the song and make sure the guy would see her lip-syncing it. She continued by saying that she planned to catch the guy’s eye and say the words – and then he would like her. According to Bullock, hat girl-gets-boy ploy worked for her.
Bullock’s movie career is still soaring as her latest film “Gravity” tops the box office charts with a gross of more than $120 million so far.
