Sanrda Bullock spoke to Today show host Matt Lauer during her first public interview since the breakup of her marriage to Jesse James. Sandra Bullock appeared with Arthur Hardy, a board member from the Warren Eason Charter High School. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed large portions of New Orleans, Bullock said that her love for the city deepened. Wanting to make a difference, she contacted the school out of the blue and offered to help with a personal donation and through fundraising efforts. Her efforts helped the school add a new health clinic. Hardy said to Lauer, “The whole city has fallen in live with her.”
The Blindside actress has come full circle and seems grounded and peaceful. She credits her friends and family for helping her get through the storm of her divorce to Jesse James. “I have friends and family that are filled with with massive amounts of integrity. They don’t sell out their friends.” These same friends kept Sandra’s adoption under wraps. Bullock explained that the process was started many years ago and that she went through all the normal channels, just like everyone else “It was nice to hear someone say ‘I think you’re a fit parent,’” she said.
Sandra Bullock also explained that since bringing home her new adopted son, Louis Bardo, her life has changed completely. "No one understands that shift in priorities until you have a child. Louis has the stage,” she said. Bullock is thrilled to add a boy to the mix of her all-girl family. “He’s like the crown prince,” she stated happily. The new mom also called her new son a “Cajun cookie.”
Looking to the future rather than dwelling on the past, Sandra Bullock did not address her divorce to Jesse James. However, she did say, “Everything works out the way the way the universe wants it to work out.” It’s good to see that things have worked out and settled down for America’s sweetheart. Sandra Bullock deserves peace and happiness after weathering the storm. Brighter days are here to stay.
