At the 2010 Academy Awards, Oscar winner Sandra Bullock was the happily married wife of Jesse James, and the beloved stepmother of Jesse’s three children from his two previous marriages.
She and Jesse were in the midst of secretly adopting a baby boy.

Sandra Bullock has come a long way in a year’s time.
Short-Lived Joy Over Winning an Oscar
Last year, Sandra Bullock’s joy over winning an Oscarfor Best Actress for her performance in The Blind Side was short-lived.
Less than two weeks later Sandra found herself immersed in a major scandal.
Michelle Bombshell McGee announced that while Sandra was away filming “The Blind Side” which won her an Oscar, she and Sandra’s husband Jesse James had been carrying on an affair which lasted for 11 months.
In the weeks that followed, Sandra found out that Jesse had cheated on her with at least two other women, a well.
Her whole world, as she knew it came crashing down.
Jesse went into rehab for sex addiction, and Sandra dropped out of sight.
A Triumphant Reappearance
Then, in April, Sandra emerged triumphantly with an announcement in People magazine that she was divorcing Jesse James, and that as a single parent, she would be finalizing the adoption an African-American baby boy, Louis Bardo Bullock. Sandra and Jesse had begun little Louis’ adoption together 4 years ago, and had finally received 3 month old baby Louis in January. They had planned to announce his adoption after the after the Academy Awards were over, but before than happened, disaster struck.
Sandra left California, and moved to Austin,Texas, where she already owned a home, and had several business interests, including a restaurant.
After a tearful public apology on ABC’s Nightline, Jesse bought a home in Austin, near Sandra Bullock, pulled up stakes, and relocated there with his children so they could all be close to Sandra, whom they dearly loved. Sandra’s love for Jesse was deep, but the hurt he caused her was even deeper. Sandra was unable to bring herself to give Jesse a second chance. Their divorce was finalized in June 2010. Jesse Quickly Moved On with His Life
When it became clear to Jesse that there would be no second chance with the woman he called “the love of his life”, he quickly moved on.

Sandra has Moved on, Too
Meanwhile Sandra Bullock has totally devoted herself to her son, little Louis, who is now one year old. She refers to Louis as the “new man” in her life.
In an interview at the Academy Awards, Sandra spoke of her life as a single mom: "It's made me a better person. I'm more patient and accommodating. I really appreciate where I am."
But Sandra is still very close to Jesse’s children, both physically and emotionally. They continue to be a part of each other’s lives.
According to Sandra’s friends, she is ready to share her life again, with a special man. Sandra was recently linked to Ryan Reynolds after his split from Scarlett Johansson. A year after the 2010 Academy Awards, Sandra bullock has successfully picked up the pieces of her shattered life and moved on.
In the process, she has become a role model for other women who are victims of infidelity and are going through a divorce.
