Sandra Bullock is receiving a lot of buzz over her star turn in the 2013 film, “Gravity.” Though Bullock spends most of the film on screen alone, fellow actor and friend George Clooney had a small but integral part in the movie. She admits to having “depression” when his scenes were done and he left the set according to a Jan.1 MSN Movies report.
In the film, the Oscar-winning actress plays Dr. Ryan Stone who is on her first space mission when something goes terribly wrong. She said she really did feel as lonely as the character she played who was stranded in space.
In an interview with Variety, she said George brought an energy to the set and she was glad he was there. She went on to say, “And then when he left, I had never been hit with a depression like that. We had so much fun for three weeks, but then my friend left."
She was surprised by how his departure affected her and says she had a difficult time saying goodbye. She said, “I didn't wanna look at him, I was just gonna give him a pat and I walked away -- and I was mad."
In a November interview with the U.K’s Daily Mirror, Bullock was asked if she and Clooney ever dated. The actress and mother of 3 year-old Louis said, “No! And I think we are probably the only two people in the whole of Hollywood who haven’t. We are far too similar.”
“Gravity” is the only movie the two actors have done together but Bullock says she is proud to have known him for more than 2 decades and considers him a close friend.
