The accident caused a huge backup on the key East Bay transit artery, report officials.
Luckily it happened after the main rush hour had happened. It took place around 11:19 a.m. this morning, in the northbound lanes near Davis and 880 .
The result was that three lanes were shut down by the crash, causing traffic to back up all the way through San Leandro.
"I hope there were no fatalities," says San Francisco resident, Alice Marshall.
As of the time of this writing, there was no estimated time on when the lanes would be open again.
