Now that Summer has officially arrived you may find yourself looking for kids activities as well as some fun for yourself. Fear not, one of our local treasurers, "A Work of Heart" has you covered.
Located in the Willow Glen area of San Jose, "A Work of Heart" is an amazing studio that is open all year long, offering classes for all ages, studio time, and a venue to hold parties.
From June through August you can find any number of Summer Camps that will provide your children (ages 7 - 17) with a variety of paper crafting and art experiences. In June classes offered include "Clay Play," "Collage Camp," "Drawing" and much, much more. Prices are reasonable, $120 for four two hour classes. Make sure to check the link for a complete listing of classes.
Beyond the camps for kids, "A Work of Heart" also offers a great variety of classes for adults, including jewlery making, oil painting, journaling, scrapbooking, rubber stamping and much, much more.
The studio is owned by Andrea Chebeleu, a talented artist who opened the studio to share her love of art and paper crafting. Along with Chebeleu the studio has a long list of talented artists who teach classes all year round.
In addition to classes, "A Work of Heart" also offers studio time for anyone who is interested in working on their own. Studio time can be purchased by the hour at very reasonable prices. The cost allows you access to tools, materials and a way to discover a new craft you have not yet tried.
You will find this buried treasure at 2196 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose. If you have questions call 408.266.1005 or email andrea at aworkofheart dot com.
Happy crafting.
