Valentine's Day is near and love is in the air. Apparently, more so in San Jose than in the rest of the Bay Area. San Jose has been named one of the top 20 most romantic cities in the country by Amazon.

The online retail giant has put together their annual list of the 'Top 20 Most Romantic Cities in the U.S.,' and San Jose is the only California town to make the cut. Our South Bay gem checks in at number 12. Amazon based its rankings on romantic-themed purchases including romance novels, romantic movies, sales of sexual wellness products and songs by Barry White and Luther Vandross.

If you are planning a getaway for Valentine's Day weekend, the top 5 most romantic cities are below;

1. San Antonio, TX
2. Seattle, WA
3. Knoxville, TN
4. Miami, FL
5. Alexandria, Va.
